Dr. Leslie Goodyear
Senior Research Associate
Dr. Leslie Goodyear has been at EDC since 2003 and is the Senior Research Associate on the ITEST Learning Resource Center (Information Technology Experiences for Students and Teachers). In addition, she provides consultation to other projects within EEC on evaluation and research design. Before coming to EDC, Dr. Goodyear worked in the nonprofit sector in a range of positions including fundraiser, outreach educator, early childhood education specialist and youth development volunteer. As a program evaluator and researcher, she has worked with programs focused on HIV/AIDS prevention; Out-of-School Time; Youth Engagement in Community Research and Evaluation; Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender issues; Educational Research; Nutrition; Adoption Support Services; Science Education; Teaching History; Kindergarten Readiness and Success; Alternative Schools; and Youth Civic Engagement. Dr. Goodyear has been an active member of the American Evaluation Association since 1995. She is currently serving in her third year as the Chair of the Qualitative Methods Topical Interest Group and is the Chair-elect of the Ethics Committee of the American Evaluation Association. She earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in Human Service Studies from Cornell University and her B.A. in Psychology from Macalester College.
