Rebecca P. Gondek

Associate Project Director

Rebecca P. Gondek combines her prior teaching experience with a range of research and technology skills. Prior to joining EDC, she worked as a science and math teacher in the Boston Public Schools. Ms. Gondek is Associate Project Director for the Ford Partnership for Advanced Study (PAS) program, working with teachers in higher education and community-based organization partners to create instructional materials to help high school students explore ideas, analyze problems, and find solutions to the kinds of real-life challenges they will face in college and in careers. As technical assistance specialist for the WEEA Equity Resource Center at EDC, Ms. Gondek worked with teachers, school districts, parents, and others interested in creating equitable and excellent schools for all students. Drawing on an MAT in biology and a B.S. in agriculture, she has developed a wide range of science curriculum materials, created a hands-on guide for teachers on how to integrate gender equity into existing science curricula, and has assisted in the development of classroom scenarios and working papers on math and science education.
